Devina is one of our POSTMODERNA WINES. It introduces the local grape variety Devín.
Devín is a modern Slovak cross, bred from Traminer (Gewürztraminer) and Veltlínske červené skoré (Roter Veltliner). It brings together the aromatic richness of Traminer and the acidity, elegance and structure of Veltliner.
We use a semi-carbonic fermentation method, meaning that we always add a portion of whole grape clusters into the fermenting must. As a result, fermentation occurs not only in the entire vat but also within the individual berries themselves. This technique enhances the wine’s fruit-forward character.
Devina was aged in ovoid vessels, and it is neither fined nor filtered.
An orange wine made from an aromatic variety, in our interpretation, always means a rich and untamed palette of flavors that unfold vividly.
